Custom Glow-in-the-Dark Enamel Pins

Custom Glow Effects for Enamel Pins

Create custom enamel pins with selected areas that absorb light and glow in darkness. Luminous colors can be applied to specific parts of the artwork while the remaining areas use standard enamel colors.

We can apply glow-in-the-dark colors with imitation hard enamel, soft enamel, and printing, allowing the production method to be selected according to the required surface, artwork detail, and visual effect.

Glow-in-the-Dark Color & Process Options

Glow-in-the-dark colors have two appearances: the color seen under normal lighting and the color emitted in darkness. They should therefore be selected from a luminous color chart rather than treated as standard Pantone enamel colors.

Which Process Fits Your Glow-in-the-Dark Pin Design?

Luminous colors can be applied with imitation hard enamel, soft enamel, or printing. Choose the process based on the required surface, detail level, and glow area.

ProcessWhat Changes in the Finished Pin
Imitation Hard EnamelCreates a smooth, level surface with luminous color integrated into clearly separated enamel areas.
Soft EnamelKeeps the luminous enamel recessed below raised metal lines, giving the design more visible depth and metal definition.
Luminous PrintingAllows luminous color to be combined with fine lines, small text, gradients, or detailed graphics that are difficult to reproduce with enamel fill alone.

3 Design Tips for Better Glow-in-the-Dark Enamel Pins

For a clearer glow effect, focus on these three artwork decisions:

① Use Lager Glow Areas

Comparison showing how larger glow areas create a clearer visible effect than thin or small luminous details.

Larger continuous glow areas are generally more visible in the dark. Very thin lines or tiny isolated details may appear less visible.

② Separate Glow / Non-Glow Areas

Clearly mark luminous sections in the artwork. Use spot colors or separate layers to distinguish glow and standard enamel areas.

③ Compare Daylight & Glow

Luminous colors may look different under normal light and in darkness. Review both appearances before selecting the final color.

FAQ – Custom Glow in the Dark Enamel Pins

Find quick answers to common questions about luminous colors, production methods, artwork requirements, MOQ, and lead time for custom glow-in-the-dark enamel pins.

Yes. Luminous color can be applied to selected areas while the rest of the design uses standard enamel colors, metal lines, or printed details.

Multiple luminous colors are available, but the range is more limited than standard enamel colors. The color seen in normal light may also differ from the color emitted in darkness, so we recommend selecting from the luminous color chart.

Glow-in-the-dark areas can be produced with imitation hard enamel, soft enamel, or luminous printing. The best option depends on the required surface, artwork detail, and size of the glow area.

Not always. Luminous pigments have their own daylight and glow characteristics and should not be treated as exact equivalents of standard Pantone enamel colors.

Vector artwork such as AI, EPS, or editable PDF is preferred. Please clearly mark the luminous areas and provide Pantone references for standard enamel colors where applicable.

A typical MOQ is 100 pcs per design, with production taking approximately 2–3 weeks after artwork approval. Timing may vary depending on quantity, process, and design complexity.
