Custom NFC metal cards combine metal construction with contactless NFC functionality for business cards, membership cards, VIP programs and loyalty applications.
Standard production uses stainless steel, with brass available for selected projects. Card size, shape, finish, logo, NFC position, QR code and variable information such as names, member IDs or serial numbers can all be customized.
The NFC function can link to digital profiles, company websites, member pages, loyalty portals or other designated online content.

NFC Metal Business Cards
Designed for executives, sales teams and customer-facing professionals, NFC metal business cards combine a branded physical card with direct access to digital contact information.
NFC can link to a digital profile, company website, LinkedIn profile or online catalog, while a QR code provides an alternative way to access the content.
NFC Metal Membership Cards
Designed for clubs, loyalty programs, hospitality brands and VIP memberships, NFC metal membership cards combine member identification with digital access.
Cards can include names, member IDs, membership tiers or QR codes, while NFC can link to member portals, rewards pages, registration pages or other designated online content.
NFC Structures Designed for Metal Cards
Metal can interfere with NFC signals, so the NFC component is integrated into a recessed area on the back of the card.
Two structures are available depending on the desired appearance and NFC reading convenience.
Small Recess NFC Structure
- A compact NFC area leaves more exposed metal on the back of the card.
- Common recess sizes are approximately 25 mm, 30 mm and 35 mm, in round or square formats.
- Best for: Designs that prioritize more visible metal and compact NFC placement.
- NFC reading: Requires closer and more accurate tapping.
Large Recess NFC Structure
- A larger NFC area provides easier tapping and more space for printed logos, QR codes or NFC instructions.
- Best for: Projects that prioritize easier NFC tapping and a larger printable area.
- NFC reading: Offers better position tolerance for more convenient tapping.

Custom NFC Metal Card Design Options
Customize your NFC metal card with printing, laser engraving, enamel, surface finishing and etched-through details to suit the artwork and card structure. Variable information such as names, member IDs and serial numbers can also be added where required.

Design note: NFC metal cards can include etched-through details. Keep remaining metal lines at least 1 mm wide.

Can NFC work on a metal card?
Yes. Because metal can interfere with NFC signals, the NFC component is integrated into a recessed area on the back of the card. Users should tap the designated NFC area on the back for reliable reading performance.
What NFC chip do you use?
Our standard option is an NTAG213 anti-metal NFC chip. Other NFC requirements should be confirmed before production.
What can the NFC card link to?
The NFC function can link to digital profiles, company websites, member pages, loyalty portals, social profiles or other designated online content.
Can NFC and a QR code be used on the same card?
Yes. NFC and QR codes can be incorporated into the same design. They may link to the same destination or to different online content depending on the project.
Can each card have a different name or serial number?
Yes. Variable information such as names, member IDs, serial numbers and identification codes can be added. Laser engraving is commonly used for variable information on the metal surface.
What is the difference between the small and large NFC recess?
A small recess uses a compact PVC NFC component and leaves more exposed metal on the back. A large recess covers more of the back and provides a larger printable PVC surface for NFC icons, QR codes or additional information.

Yes. The standard size is approximately 85 × 54 × 0.8 mm, but custom sizes and shapes are available where the artwork and NFC structure allow.
Can the PVC NFC surface be printed?
